The walk starts from the National Trust car park at Shugborough Estate, and winds across the fields and up through the woods. It is easy walking with no stiles. You would get an off-road child's buggy across this walk. It crosses the road out of the estate and enters Cannock Chase, from here it is mostly on graveled footpaths.
The walk takes in some beautiful scenery yet within easy traveling distance of some major cities.
The walk could be accessed by public transport.
Shugborough estate has cafes for a drink before you start and a rewarding and welcome treat at the end of you journey.
