Oakamoor, Froghall and the Churnet Valley

Parking at the small Hawksmoor nature reserve car park you head down through the wooded hills of the Churnet Valley before following the river to Froghall. Here you make a sharp accent onto the hills and woods above the river eventually reaching a spot just outside the village of Alton and its famous theme park. Here you turn back towards Froghall and slowly head back to the car park, be sure to visit the chained tree (just as you turn before Alton) which was done by a local Lord to avoid a family curse.
