There is a small car park at Clough House, but space is limited.

The walk crosses the road and immediately climbs uphill. The walk is fairly undulating with numerous climbs and drops. There are quite a few stiles on the walk and could potentially prove a challenge with larger dogs. Much of the walk crosses farmland and there are lots of sheep.

It is important to note that there are area of this walk that cross wet moorland, due to the peat and times of year paths may move about. It is important to use your common sense when tackling this walk and make any adjustments accordingly.

Good boots are a must for this walk, it is also important to ensure you have waterproofs with you, the weather can change quickly and without warning on the moors.
