Brakenhurst Wood and Needwood Forest
Difficulty: Easy
Length: 10.7 miles
A lovely walk, but footpaths are in severe need of attention. Do not attempt this walk without being able to read a map and divert where required. We found that one of the planned footpaths had completely disappeared, the route provided has been amended to reflect the diversion we took.
Reasonably easy walking and enjoyable. There are lots of stiles (in varying states of disrepair) and gates, some locked. There were some stiles with dog doors.
Dogs should be on leads, there is livestock in some of the fields.
