A pleasant walk on mostly decent paths from the old mining village of Brinsley to the remains of Codnor Castle and return via the outskirts of Heanor. An interesting walk where you can visit the remains of Brinsley Headstock left over from the mining industry and the much older Codnor castle.

The villages of Brinsley, Heanor, and Codnor are located in the Amber Valley district of Derbyshire. They are all former mining villages, but today they are thriving communities with a strong sense of history and identity.
