Borrowash: This picturesque village boasts a long history, with records dating back to the Domesday Book. Borrowash is known for its charming cottages and traditional pubs, offering a quintessential English village experience.

Dale Abbey:

History buffs will be drawn to Dale Abbey, the remains of a once-grand Premonstratensian monastery founded in the 12th century. The ruins stand as a testament to the area's religious heritage.

Hopwell Hall:

While Hopwell Hall itself suffered a fiery demise in 1957, its story lives on. Built in 1720 on the site of an earlier manor house, the Hall was the seat of the Pares family for generations.  Historical records offer a glimpse into their lives and the grand estate that once surrounded the Hall [Derbyshire Record Office Catalogue, reference: D5336].

Breaston:

This vibrant village boasts a rich past, evident in its beautiful Georgian architecture. Breaston was a center for dairying and agriculture, and its traditional houses reflect this heritage.
