The walk starts from the bus stop closest to St Hugh's Catholic Church in Borrowash, and follows the footpath towards Ockbrook thn takes a turn to Locko Park. Head through the gates and follow the path past the lake, continue towards Dale Abbey and All Saints Church. Your walk will take you past the hermitage before starting to turn back towards Risley. A good place to stop is The Cow Shed Cafe where you can get refreshments. Your next stop is Hopwell Hall Farm Alpacas before heading down to Breaston to catch the bus.
This is a lovely leisurely and enjoyable walk through pretty countryside. The Cow Shed Cafe comes highly recommended as a place to stop.
